Moby

Moby, the musician, DJ, singer, and songwriter, is now a very well known photographer in Los Angeles. He set up a darkroom in his basement at age 17 after his Uncle had given him a camera a couple years earlier. In college, Moby tried for a double major in philosophy and photography but never graduated. Moby takes a lot of photos in black in white which possibly connects to all of the film work he did when he was younger. His photos seem simple at first, but they all capture small details and follow the many rules of photography (rule of thirds, leading lines, etc.).

Olsen Marine is the CEO of a marine economics company. His photos contain bold textures found in everyday or random objects. His photos usually capture the natural beauty of aging, like rust or gradual fading. Marine is a macro photographer. He also has an unusual interest in rust and tends to use it in many of his photos for a source of natural color and beautiful texture. Olsen Marine is able to take something that most people think is gross or old and show us the beauty of it.
